Maritime Education and training institutions- application for approval

The following must accompany the application:

• Confirmation of certification carried out by a recognised organisation approved by the Norwegian Maritime Authority. Certification must be made according to the accepted standards. This applies to all private institutions.
• Copy of the Quality Management System
• Documentation of internal audit
• Documentation of management review
• Subject and class schedules for the relevant courses.
• Subject / learning / study plans and syllabi for the types of education / courses for which approval is sought. These shall be in accordance with: The requirements in regulations of 22 December 2011 no. the requirements of the relevant tables in the STCW Code or relevant IMO model courses. Compliance matrix must be attached.
• Overview of teaching staff's professional and pedagogical competence for the types of education for which approval is sought (min. IMO model courses 6.09 and 6.10 in addition for simulator instructors)
• Overview of facilities necessary to implement requirements in training programs

These shall be in accordance with the requirements of the relevant tables in the new STCW Code and include a compliance matrix showing that all required subjects have been covered.

• Subject and class schedules for the additional courses. These shall be in accordance with the requirements in the relevant tables in the new STCW Code and include a compliance matrix showing that that all required subjects are covered.
• Subject / learning / study plans and syllabi for the types of education / courses for which approval is sought. These shall be in accordance with: The requirements in regulations of 22 December 2011 no. the requirements of the relevant tables in the STCW Code or relevant IMO model courses.
