Approval of seamen`s doctors with practice outside Norway, for seafarers on Norwegian ships, is granted by a Norwegian Foreign Service station.

Link to Regulation of 19th October 2001 no. 1309 concerning the medical examination of employees on ships (With reservation against fault) - The object of this regulation is to ensure that employees are medically fit for service on board ship and do not pose a risk to others or to the safe operation of the vessel.
