STCW – Information regarding applications

Norwegian Certificate of Competency is issued based on a diploma for completed education according to the STCW 95 convention and code. The education leading to the diploma must be accomplished at a maritime academy in Norway and approved by NMD. You will find further information regarding the application process on the Norwegian web-site.
NMD may endorse a Certificate of Competence issued by parties with whom the Government of Norway has a bilateral agreement. These parties are listed in circular RSV 08-2007 (english)
