One of the goals of the Norwegian Maritime Directorate is to give information about which cultural and leisure activities sailors on board Norwegian ships can take on. This is a worldwide offer and the welfare service can provide a wide range of cultural and recreational activities to sailors.

The film service is part of welfare activities seafarers on board Norwegian vessels are offered by the Norwegian Government Seamen’s Service.
Norwegian contest,
NGSS arrange an annual photo contest for seafarers. All emloyees on a Norwegian ship can enter up to ten digital photos.
